Dear Warstages backer,

First of all, we hope you and your family are well.

With time, many of our clients have become friends and we know that some of them are currently fighting with the virus so our thoughts are with you all.

The Raging Heroes team has been very lucky until now and we are all in good health. To be on the safe side, we started safety measures and confinement one week before our government asked us to do so and I guess it helped.

Anyway, the good thing is that after a bit of chaos, we were able to gather all the needed information and set up a plan to ship your WarStages parcels.

Once again our main goal is to make sure that your parcels arrive at your home in good condition.

So what is the plan?

In summary, the plan is to start shipping the containers from China in about 3 weeks. This means that the parcels will reach the distribution hubs in a bit less than 2 months. By this time the hubs will have re-opened and it will take another 1 to 2 weeks to be delivered at your home.

What are we doing currently?

Right now, we are finishing to compute all the data we've received from the various companies involved in the shipments.

The way shipping goes is that our manufacturer sends containers with the merchandise to a Forwarder. The Forwarder then puts the containers on ships. We will have one ship going to the USA and one to England. From there our two hubs will dispatch the orders in the various corners of the world.

We are currently finalizing the plan for that with them.

Then we will get an exact quote for the shipping and handling of your parcel from the hub to your door. It will be done in the next few days.
Once we have that exact information, we will contact you to collect the shipping fees.
Once the shipping fees are collected the WarStage parcels will take to the sea!

Why not ship earlier?

You might have asked yourself this question.

In fact Catherine, our manufacturer's contact, was asking me the same question herself: "The boxes are on the pallets, they are ready to go. Why wait? The boats are leaving China and delivering to Europe with no problem..."

But having studied how Covid-19 had impacted the organisation of the Chinese economy in the previous months, I knew that the same problems were coming our way.

So indeed, what Catherine was saying was correct at the time she told me, but since the boat takes 4 to 6 weeks to travel, I was pretty sure the situation would not be the same once the boats would arrive at their destination.

And thus it proved: one week later, all the people we had contacted at the various distribution hubs had stopped working at their warehouse and were just doing administrative work and quotes from home.

Having sent the goods at that time would have meant that there would have been nobody to take care of them when the containers would have been delivered in Europe or USA.

So we negotiated with Catherine so that they would be OK to keep two containers in their warehouse while we were waiting for the situation to evolve. As you can imagine, it is not something that is very practical for them...

How is the timeline going to work?

So as we said above, the timeline is to ship in about 3 weeks, let the boats travel for a month, and then have the hubs dispatch your parcels in about 2 weeks.

But as you can imagine, it is still difficult to know how/when the distribution hubs will be able to get back to normal. The same is true for postal services.

In France, the confinement period is currently scheduled to end in Mid-May, so we are guessing it could be more or less the same everywhere. This means that when the parcels will arrive at the hubs, things should have had the time to go back to normal. But it is impossible to be certain of anything. So extra delays can be expected.

Regarding postal service, we are currently shipping worldwide every day from our webshop and while things take longer than usual to move through the system, the delays are not crazy. So overall once the parcels hit the hubs, the rest of the trip should go smoothly even if it's just a bit longer than usual.

In these interesting times, it is difficult to have certainties as to timing, but we are trying hard to make sure that the goods are safely handled throughout. We will continue to keep you posted whenever we have new info to share. Meanwhile, if you have questions or comments, get in touch with us at RagingHeroesTeam@gmail.com.
