THE KURGANOVA SHOCK TROOPS (KST) Led by the ultra-powerful Kurganov family, the Kurganova Shock Troops are a highly organized and disciplined army with underlying Eastern European themes. They also benefit from the support of strong cyber-enhanced paganic magic. This, among other things, allows them to 'waken' the 'were' gene that can transform some members of the Kurganova army into giant were-wolves or were-bears.
Love Katrina. She looks so badass, it was great fun building/painting her
Went together well and few to no mold issues. One of the cleanest metal models I’ve painted in a long while and that’s all I paint.
Very interesting miniature. Good quality casting with nice details.
I particularly like this sculpts asymmetric armour; Definitely "This face towards enemy."
Another design point is the way the different weapons change the character of the mini; With the square-muzzled energy weapon, Katrina angles to the 'harder' end of SF. With the more dieselpunk tribarrel design she's suitable for gothic or retro-tech backgrounds - Useful for us gamers.
Casting is to RH's usual standards, and your biggest problem is likely to be deciding which combination of head, arm and weapon options to take.
The main point to note on assembly is that Katrina's heavy weapon has a smartgun-style bodymount, and hence two points of attachment to consider. While this shouldn't give any problems, patience and test-fitting are recommended.
I advise pinning the mount to the body first (Using copper or brass wire will allow a certain amount of 'adjustment' to ensure an exact fit before gluing) Fixing her arm to your chosen weapon, then trying the two together. Once everything lines up, fit the two sub-assemblies together. I went down this route, and found almost no filling was necessary.
My Katrina was assembled with the tri-barrelled energy weapon, and is serving the Inquisition as a field engineer with a C-Beamer. Other Inquisitorial players may be interested in the possibility of including one of these useful weapons in their retinue.
But, as noted, dependent on your choice of arms and weapons, this minicould find a home in any game from Warmachine to Infinity.
