THE IRON EMPIRE (IE) The Iron Empire is made up of exiled people that have somehow stumbled upon necromantic knowledge from alien pharaonic gods. They combine Prussian and Germanic influences with some kind of Aegyptian cyber necromancy that allow them to raise the dead and create bio-mechanical aberrations.
Cool minis with nice detail!
But a base was not included..(forgot to pack? Check carefully next time, raging-heroes!)
Anyway, thanks for the great model!
This is a painters miniature; A simple, polished sculpt, with fine, restrained detailing and a strong profile. For more advanced painters, there's also the appeal of a number of textures to play with, with goodly areas of fluttering cloth to show off their blending or free-handing skills.
The casting itself is clean and sharp, with the minimum of preparation needed.
Looking again at the miniature while writing this, she's also surprisingly versatile; With no more work than an appropriate paint scheme, she could slot into any number of sci-fi, pulp or steampunk games as an officer, noble, hero or adventuress. She could also be a good fit for European-themed techno-fantasies like Warmachine.
Incidentally, if RH are still considering producing fantasy and sci-fi versions of as many of their miniatures as possible, I would forward Kristina as one of the first candidates. Simply because she is already usable in so many games.
(This gamer's suggestions for a fantasy Kristina would be a version of the current helm without the techno elements. Perhaps with a Corinthian-style closed face instead of a respirator. With either an open-face or bare-head variant if it proves possible to produce plug-in alternate heads. If so, re-casting the sci fi version for the options of original helm or a peaked cap would add even broader appeal to that mini too)
