WarStages Update #39: They made it across the ocean!

Dear WarStager,

Yes, they've finally arrived!!!

In fact, the two ships transporting 7 tons of WarStages Cathedrals from China to the USA and the UK arrived a few days ago. The ship going to the US was called the Hanoi Bridge, and it travelled across the Pacific. The ship going to the UK was called the Mol Tradition, and travelled via the Red Sea and the Mediterranean.

Then it took a bit of processing time to get them through customs, transporting them to the two hubs that will take care of the shipments and start to get everything organized for shipping them your way.

We will post another update as soon as shipping starts but it will happen in the next few days.

There is still a hiccup to fix with the UK hub though: it looks like when they did their quotation, they checked the weight of our parcels but didn't check their si and now they realize that they are bigger than what they were expecting (despite the fact that this info was explicitly shown in the documents we sent them), so they are working on adapting their pipeline to this constraint.

We'll have another update as soon as there is more definitive information on the shipping.

What to do when you receive the parcels?

When you'll get your parcels, you'll probably want to open it and start building right away. And I so much understand that!

But for once, I'm going to ask you to do A VERY HERETIC MOVE:

Make sure to go to the internet and READ THE INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE DOING ANYTHING!

Yeah, I know, it's crazy!!!

But if you don't, you run the risk of permanently damaging your kit. The assembly is not complex but it requires several steps to be followed in a very specific order.

We will soon upload a full guide on how to work with your kits based on the very important lessons we learned during the development, prototyping, and manufacturing process.

About the assembly instructions

You'll notice there are no assembly instructions included in the parcel. There are two reasons for this:

As you know, the packing of each individual kit was done at a complex and chaotic time because of the Chinese New Year / Covid situation and I had asked Catherine, our contact in China, to wait for a leaflet we wanted to add to the package to thank you for your support and give you a web address where to find the assembly instruction. But there was a communication breakdown and all the boxes were packed before Catherine had a chance to push through my messages and the associated files. So the boxes come with absolutely no extras information :'(

But the other reason is that the kits need to be assembled in a VERY SPECIFIC WAY, especially the first time around, and especially for putting together all the furniture parts.

So the best way to show you how to do this is on video and so the instructions need to be online.

Currently we are still waiting for our own WarStages set to arrive at the office because the Covid situation prevented us from getting a kit sent directly to us before everything was put on the ships. We should get one very quickly now, and as soon as the videos are done we'll let you know.

But there is still the possibility that a few of you will get your parcel before the videos are up.

If that's the case, please be patient, the video will be available very quickly.

Yes, yes, yes !!!

We know how much you are waiting for your parcels to arrive and you cannot imagine how excited we are to finally be able to tell you that they are about to make their final trip to you. You know too well how much this has been a rough ride, so we are so happy to know that these mighty Cathedrals are now about to be assembled all over the world.

We cannot wait to see what you will do with them!

Talk to you soon :)
