WarStages Update #37: To address your concerns

Dear WarStages Backer,

Reading some of your messages following today's Update #36, it feels that some of you are concerned and anxious about losing your pledge.

So please let me say that this is not going to happen and the intention of this update is entirely different.

Let me say again that losing your pledge is something that shouldn't happen to responsive backers like you.

You might not be aware, but there are still about a hundred people who have not yet completed their selection in the Pledge Manager nor replied to any of ours attempts to get in contact for about a year...

This is why we officially need to set an end date for shipping and a consequence for not following the process on time.

For our past two Kickstarters, we have continued to deliver pledges for more than 2 years after the project had been officially completely done and closed! Some backers, upon seeing our miniatures sold in our webshop, realized that they had pledged for them and then completely forgot about it. There were many more backers like that than you would imagine! We've been very understanding of their circumstances and we accommodated them, happy that they could finally get their well-deserved miniatures. And even if it was more work and additional costs for us, we delivered, no questions asked.

However, sadly we cannot do that for WarStages.

The high volume and weight of the products (an XL Cathedral weighs nearly 40kg!), the fact that it is shipped in massive containers to two different locations thousands of kilometers away from our offices, and the fact that we only have a super limited stock that does not allow for future general market mass release absolutely prevents us from doing a fulfillment that spans over many months.

If you are reading this, it means that you are an active backer and that you probably have followed the process and filled out the pledge manager and/or reached out to us in some way. In that case and if you are going through a special situation, please do not hesitate to contact our customer service at RagingHeroesTeam@gmail.com and we'll find a solution, no worries.

Our incredibly kind and patient Customer Service crew has a record of all backers and access to the pledge manager database, so it is always the best way to address any special cases. Posting individual cases on this thread doesn't benefit anyone as it runs the risk of not being properly addressed and it creates frustration and aggravation for everybody.

However, as you probably understand, the situation dictates that we have to draw a clear line: sadly we cannot accommodate situations where people have completely disconnected from this project, never answered our many contact attempts, and then might suddenly come to ask for their reward many months after the logistics of this project have been dismantled.

From the very first day of the Kickstarter, we've clearly stated the anticipated cost of shipping. In the last few months, we have repeatedly contacted the unresponsive backers to urge them to make their selection, and we have asked everyone to get ready for the shipping process that was coming. We have done everything in our power to be explicit and to keep everyone aware of what was going on.

Despite our best intentions, we materially are unable to extend the fulfillment period of this Kickstarter. This is why we are setting these deadlines and we reserve the right to make exceptions on a case by case basis.

I hope this helps you understand the situation better and dispels any unnecessary concern.

Once again, if you are not in a position to pay for your shipping now, please contact us at RagingHeroesTeam@gmail.com and we will make sure to resolve the situation.

All the best,
Mireille
