First glimpse at Gluttony
posted November 22, 2011
Here is Gluttony, the first of our Seven Sins characters.
The sculpt below is still a work-in-progress, but the overall look of the character is there.
The sculpt shown here is for the Legendary, demon-sized version.
Our plan is to have no wings on the Heroic, human-sized version.
However, Heroic Gluttony will have a mast attached to his back on which a cage will hang, holding one of his victims.
We are still undecided about having the cage on the demon-sized version. You can get a better feel for this on the concept below.
As always, we are very interested in your comments, especially about how you would see him in a Sci-Fi version, what kind of equipment/accessories/enhancements you'd like on him, etc.

Fantastic model; my criticism would be the toe armour. For a futuristic version, I’d put riveted banding on the armour, add lots of biomechanical pipes and things, and perhaps a jetpack or something instead of wings (or mechanical wings?)
Beautiful model though

I think that there should only be a man in his hand for the larger one, or else it would look out of proportion next to my other models. his hand should just be open. I also think both versions should have wings, because, again, the human in the cage would be out of proportion. The human in the cage should be an option for the larger version, so that the large one can have both options. I want to have both versions, the small and large, so if one had a man the size of the other Gluttony in his hand, and the smaller Gluttony had a torn up doll, it would be a bit off.

@solaris
the wings are optional, and only come with the larger version (for now). If you get the version with the wings, You don’t have to glue them on as they will probably be separate pieces considering their size.

If i can remove the wings to make a slautermaster for my warhammer ogre army i will be happy :)

This is awesome. I love it on every level, but the odd sloped right foot that looks to "jester"ish. The Cleaver sword and the wings with the suction cup looking nodules are great touches. I love the idea of the cage and back banner.
I think he should have the option to wield a scythe though.

Personally I really dislike the foot armor and how it slopes up. Would you be in troubled waters if you did the cloven hoof design at the end of the boot?
The amount of armor you have on there now, and its style, is perfect for both fantasy and sci-fi settings. Maybe if there was a head swap available with a helmeted version?
I personally intend to pick up one of the larger ones to have him as a daemon prince, when you go into production. I’ll be removing the cages from the back, and that sloped up boot-tip, and adding some more skin damage to it in the same way that the FW nurgle greater daemon has multiple layers of decay visible through its skin.

@notsoevil + @geoff:
The Legendary version (demon-sized) is currently planned to be about 65 to 70mm up to the eyes, with a total height of 12 to 13cm to the tip of the wings.
The Heroic version is planned to be about 30mm up to the eyes.
What do you think?

Realling hoping to see an ogre sized version (or the demon size be close enough to 40+mm)!!!
definitely include the cage backbanner in both sizes.

Yeah, lovely :) …just remember to make something with the left hand for the 28 mm version, so that the man he’s holding would be of appropriate size ;)

Looks really nice;)

So, exactly how big will the large version be?
Posted by notsoevil on November 22, 2011
This is GREAT! My idea for Sci-Fi is more futuristic armor on his chest and maybe more sculls waving on chains but like I said it’s brilliant and perfect for Nurgel army ;)

Wow! his model is great. Ideal for Nurgle daemon, but you should reconsider appearance of his left breast(?). I would prefer less edgy, more fatty. Like that ones that extreme obese have.

The butcher knife is a wonderful combination, but I see maybe a rolling pin!
For sci-fi version I do not think it takes some tweaking, it’s definitely a hero who wants to take the food with their hands, oops … enemy!
PS:I love the tentacle wings!!!

The tentacle wings are a really good and interesting concept. It seems every model you do has something truly unique and fitting like that. Please continue this trend!

That’s disgustingly awesome. Quite like the idea of the cage on the smaller version, and little touches like that will I feel be a cracking idea across Sins, making each version genuinely unique in some way
